Woolly Sheep

Here is a lifesize sheep created from the main frame of an old plough, a couple of hoes, mower blade and matress spring.This one now lives in Switzerland.

  2. I've recently asked my son to keep an eye out for mattress springs and now that I see your sheep I am even more keen to get some. Your site is so inspirational. I'm collecting lots of metal pieces but so far I'm just enjoying the interesting shapes and haven't made anything. And I love the rustiness...

      I always appreciate the comments that come up onto my blog,but to my shame have never replied to them. This time I couldn't pass up the opportunity to encourage you to 'have a go'.
      Welding isn't difficult, bearing in mind that the worst that can happen is that some part might fall off (let's face it, you are not going to tow a caravan with the finished piece!)
      Once you get the bug, you will love it.
